We will arrive at Philmont mid-day on Friday, August 7, 2009 and depart for home on Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
Travel will be from Sandusky, Ohio to Raton, New Mexico via Amtrak. There will, most likely, be a long layover in Chicago on Thursday, August 6th. There will be a room available at the train station for oversized luggage so that we may tour Chicago during this layover.
We will travel from Raton, New Mexico to Philmont by bus (provided by Philmont).
The payment schedule will be as follows:
The above payments will only cover the Philmont fee and Amtrak. Transportation to and from Philmont and Ration ($45 in 2008) is not included. Food, sightseeing , etc. to and from Philmont is not included.
To help participants and parents, money may be deposited into the troop Philmont account at any time. Please make payments to our treasurer, Melissa.
Philmont does not have a refund policy! There is a possibility of a substitution if there is a cancellation, but there are no guarantees.
Participants and parents are urged to attend. Meetings are scheduled for the first Sunday of each month.
The next meeting is November 2nd (6:00 p.m.) at Asbury Church. We will be showing a DVD on Philmont preparation and discussing proper gear to bring. All crew and parent(s) need to attend!!!
