Wright Patterson Air Force Base - April '07
Rain did not dampen the fun we had this weekend. It rained all day Saturday, with occasional snow flurries. The temperature ranged from a high of 42 and the low was 34 degrees. It was windy at times. Fortunately, we were inside for most of the day. We spent all morning in the museum and swam in the base pool in the afternoon. After swimming, we saw a movie and bowled at the "Alien Lanes" on the base. We did not get back to camp until after 10 p.m., but the rain had stopped and we had a late night cookout and enjoyed a warm fire. Sunday breakfast was one of the best yet--biscuits made in a Dutch oven topped with sausage gravy. Desert (breakfast?) was an apple and cinnamon cobbler in another Dutch oven--awsome!!!
