Camp Tuscazoar / Troop 1 Cabin - February '09
We started with breakfast at Hamburger in before traveling to Camp Tuscazoar. We arrived mid-morning at camp. The weather was cloudy with occasion flurries. We set off on Icky's Trail to Troop 1 cabin. We made a few wrong turns but finally arrived at the cabin at 12:15. We backpacked all of our food and most of our water. We purified water for cooking purposes. The guys enjoyed keeping the wood burning stoves going to keep warm. We used backpacking stoves for cooking. We took a hike to Buzzard's Roost in the afternoon. Temperature stayed just below freezing and we woke up to a light snow cover. Aaron, our Chaplain's Aide put on another excellent Sunday morning service at Tom's Chapel.
