The Timber sharks (our senior patrol) wanted an adventure - they got
one!!
It started with the drive - snowing the whole way and getting pretty
bad at times - forcing us to be an hour or more later than planned.
Snow continued trough part of Saturday dumping 3 to 5 on top of 18
to 20inches already. The boys used a Klondike sled to haul food and
gear to the remote cabin 1.5 miles from parking lot.
Scoutmaster's note:seemed at least 5 to 7 miles when hiking in knee
plus deep snow and a 50 lb pack on your back. The boys did awesome
with three creek crossing and two decent hills.
Once at the cabin, alot of drying out and heating up with long naps.
Great place to do winter camping the boys love it!!
