Tar Hollow State Park/Forest - July '09
The Philmont crew took its last shakedown hike on the Chief Logan Trail. We hiked the north trial on Saturday and the south on Sunday. We spent the night at Camp Dulan off of the south loop. The north loop went fast and was easy to follow. The southern loop was quite a bit tougher, as it was not as well marked. The trail going into Camp Dulan was rough--many down trees and stinging nettles. We got a good test of our rain gear on Saturday afternoon.
