Thanksgiving in the Woods - November '07
Thanksgiving in the Woods was a huge success! The day was mostly cloudy with a hint of sun from time to time, and no rain. The morning was spent baking rolls and pumpkin pies. Two turkeys were cooking in Mr. Lindeboom's homemade ovens and another cooked in foil over a wood fire. Under Mr. Lindeboom's watchful eye, every Scout had a role in preparing the meal. Three turkeys, homemade mashed potatoes, green bean casseroles, rolls, pumpkin pie, apple crisp, stuffing prepared from scratch, and gravy were all served hot to our Troop and our Webelo guests. The troop fed 45 people. Saturday evening was topped off with a campfire organized by Jarrett.
