Otter Run - Emergency Preparedness Camporee '08
Unfortunately, the weather was poor. While it didn't rain during set up on Friday night, it rained steadily all night long. We got up and had breakfast in the rain. The rained continued throughout the morning and the wind began to pick up. By afternoon the temperature dropped significantly changing the rain into snow.
The program was dampened somewhat by the weather, but the scouts still managed to have fun. Local emergency responders demonstrated their skills. A mock search for missing persons was performed and was a favorite exercise by most of our scouts.
